What is OT?

Occupational therapy (OT) helps individuals develop and improve the skills needed to perform everyday meaningful activities ("occupations") with independence.

Who we benefit

At The Hive, we provide occupational therapy services for adults diagnosed with:

  • Intellectual Disability or Developmental Disability

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Cerebral Palsy or other neuromuscular disorders

  • Down Syndrome or other genetic disorders

We are also happy to provide services to teenagers wanting to prepare for their transition into adulthood!

What to expect

Free Consultation Call

After submitting your information on our "contact" page, our owner will email you within 48 hours to schedule a 15-minute call. During this call, you may share about your loved one's needs and ask any questions you have about our services before scheduling an evaluation.

Initial Evaluation

Your OT will meet you conveniently at your home to further get to know you and your loved one. This will include a review of medical history, client/caregiver interview, and client skill observation. From there, your OT will collaborate with you to develop personalized goals.

1:1 Therapy Sessions

The fun begins! Your OT will work directly with your loved one to reach their established goals! Progress toward these goals will be monitored and discussed with you regularly.
